Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see it in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
• Content you create — recipes, photos you upload, trips, meal plans, gear lists, shopping lists, notes, and your app preferences (such as household size).
• Payment information — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number; we keep only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Technical information — like most websites, our hosting providers automatically log basic request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

We don’t use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we don’t collect your precise device location.

How we use it

• To provide the app — saving your recipes, plans, and lists, and syncing them across your devices.
• To process subscriptions and manage billing.
• To send account emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password resets.
• To answer your support requests.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run parts of Campendio for us, and only as needed for them to do so:

• Supabase — database, file storage, and sign-in.
• Vercel — website and app hosting.
• Stripe — subscription payments.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Anthropic — when you use an AI feature (importing a recipe from a photo or link, building a recipe, or suggesting shopping items), the photo, link, or text you provide is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to process that request. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
• Open-Meteo — when you view the weather for a trip, the trip’s location name is sent to Open-Meteo to look up the forecast.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information).

Cookies and local storage

We use only essential cookies to keep you signed in. The app also saves a few preferences (such as display settings) in your browser’s local storage. We don’t use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing info@adventurexfiles.com; we’ll do so within 30 days, except for records we’re required to keep (for example, payment records for tax purposes).

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Much of it you can view and edit directly in the app; for anything else, email info@adventurexfiles.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Union), you may have additional rights under local law — we honor these requests for all users, wherever they live, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.

Children

Campendiois not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard protections, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls that keep each user’s data private to their own account. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects it.

Where your data is stored

Campendio is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you use the app from elsewhere, you understand your information will be transferred there.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
